Am I heading to the wrong direction?

Hello, I would like to get some advise on below scenario. URL 1: advise**.com - for seo URL 2: advise**.net - for ads Both site serve the same content. 1) SEO work is on URL1, should canonical tag put on URL 1 > URL 2? 2) Do both URL 1 and 2 need to setup in google search console? 3) Is there any other better approach? Thanks

  • George G.: noindex the site for the ads. that`s it.
  • Galin Stefanov: George G. But don`t do it only in robots.txt use meta tags as well.
  • Richard Hearne: What are you trying to achieve - traffic or ad clicks?
  • Danny Chuah: Richard Hearne organic traffic to URL1 and ads click to URL2.
  • Richard Hearne: Danny Chuah who`s going to provide the ad clicks, and where does that traffic come from?

Being frank, I think you`re surely going the wrong direction here. I don`t know what convinced you that having 2 separate sites would be a good idea, but I can see zero benefits from doing so.
