Need Guidance for Guest Posting!!! It`s my first time that I`m applying this Link-building strategy which is "Guest Posting". I`m writing an Email Script for "Guesting Posting". Should I mention in my email that I want a backlink? Is this count in bad practice? Any further advice if you guys can give then it would be great.

Michael Martinez: Create good content for your site that you yourself would want to read, recommend, and share with other people.

Don`t pay for guest posts.

Accept any links that use "rel=`nofollow`" because if you`re only guest posting for links that improve rankings in search results they will most likely either be ignored by the search engines or eventually trigger a penalty for you.
Milly Zhu: how about a dofollow link in a guest post? does it work with a dofollow link in similar or related topic? Will the score of the dofollow link affects my website too? Will low score low my website too? Thanks
Michael Martinez: Milly Zhu The search engines don`t want us to use guest posts to build links that influence their search results.

They will attempt to identify and ignore those links. If they see a consistent pattern they may apply a manual action (penalty) to the site trying to benefit from them.

Guest posting in itself is perfectly fine. Use it to tell people about your site, your company, your products, or yourself.

But the moment you start caring what the links look like, you set yourself on a collision course with the Link Police. That`s not an optimum long-term strategy in my opinion and experience.

Many thousands of companies came to regret pursuing such strategies.
