Baseurl as a x-default page

My website https://www.mohmal.com

I haven`t specify the x-default page. Instead of that the the baseurl of the website considered linkrel=alternative as the default language "Arabic" within linkrel=alternative.

Is it dangerous (I may lose PageRank or something) if make the baseurl as a x-default page and let the Arabic language take another url like /ar. Still the baseurl shows Arabic content and still the page identical to /ar.?

Neeraj Pandey: Hi , default is a directive not mandatory. If your website is in Arabic it's quite logical that you declare lang default there is no issue. In this case Google will consider that for all Arabic queries this page is to be shown no issue of page rank or danger
