Any thoughts on Expedia drop in SERPs?

Any thoughts on Expedia drop in SERPs? It doesn`t look as a link penalty even if some of the links pointing to specific pages aren`t brillant quality (I believe they are disavowed already). It`s more like a technical issue. Going a little bit deeper I`ve noticed that they have ongoing A/B testing. And their are set correctly BUT while crawling via Screaming Frog nothing happens at all. When changed from "Old Ajax Crawling Scheme" to "Text Only" - then it worked. :) So the drop could be somehow related to this thing: https://www.expedia.com/?_escaped_fragment_= Any other ideas?
