2000+ links coming from Google.com.

I was looking at our client`s Webmaster Tools and saw that under "Links to Your Site" they had 2000+ links coming from Google.com. I`ve never seen that before. Has anyone else???

  • Gregory Kristan: I have seen something close to that. Perhaps they get a lot of Google+ action and they get a lot links (NOFOLLOW) from them
  • Rotimi Orimoloye: Good observation and interesting discovery ;+Valentina Huff. ;Me too.
    Your answer is in drilling down by clicking on the link (google(dot)com).
    This will take you to the pages the links are pointing at.

    You would probably find that most of those links are being generated from pages that are indexed as related searches on Google+ I believe.

    So (in my case) I have a client's website that has a page that talks about keynote speakers including Steve Wozniak, John C Maxwell and Ram Charan. So these links are generated in any of the pages generated as Related Posts for any of my posts that include these hashtags. ;

    And by the way, I noticed that these pages were m.google(dot)com pages as well...meaning mobile. ;

    Hope that helps to at least reduce the confusion?
