  • Gaurav Manandhar: Check source code
  • JL Faverio: GSC doesn`t provide source code to implement - or does it? I`ve always attached them to a Google Analytics account.
  • Michael Martinez: Some sites use an html tag for verification but you will not always find one.
  • Tim van Iersel: Or dns for verification
  • Rob Woods: depends. You can find it really only if they use the HTML tag method. You won`t know if they used GA or GTM
  • JL Faverio: So far it`s looking like a no...
  • E Dieter Martin: Do you need to make sure that there isn`t another one? Or is it okay if yours is one of a couple? The later is possible as far as I know. Just verify yours.
  • JL Faverio: Are you saying that even if one is created, I could create my own too?
  • E Dieter Martin: I believe so. Just try it.
  • Kevin Jech Schinnerer: JL Faverio yes you can create your own, you just need the ability to verify it through analytics, tag manager, dns, html file to root etc.
  • JL Faverio: Kevin Jech Schinnerer nice I`ll try it out.
  • Paul Thompson: There is only one GSC Property for each Fullly Qualified Domain Name (i.e. each version of a web site). If you verify a Property that has already been verified/owned by another GSC account, you will simply be added to the list of existing owners of that Property.

You`ll see the other verified users in the Owners/Users list, and they will see you. (If the Property already exists and is owned in another account, that account will get a noticatin when you verify yourself)

    Is that what you`re wondering?
  • Artur Ilyasov: HTML file is very simple verification I think
  • Michael Stricker: Search for the domain in Google. If no GSC implementation exists, then Google will helpfully offer a link on that page, with the admonishment, “if this is your website, set up Google Search Console...”.
While auditing websites with Screaming Frog, the Overview Report will indicate presence/absence of in-code verification.
  • Muhammad Usman: Yes, there is a simple way, there are many online free tools to check search and analytics too, all you need to submit website only. JL Faverio
  • Anurag Pathak: Www.pinchunimshah.com. social bookmarking site....
