Someone posted something about my business on reddit

Hey guys! Quick question. Someone posted something about my business on reddit. Now, that appears on Google search results. Is there a way to get rid of it? Or possibly push it down in the search results?
This question begins at 00:12:52 into the clip. Did this video clip play correctly? Watch this question on YouTube commencing at 00:12:52

  • Michael Martinez: You cannot get rid of it. And do not respond to anything said there. In fact, don`t draw attention to it. The discussion will eventually die down and be closed and archived.

    As for pushing it down in the search results, sure. Basic search reputation management calls for you to publish content about your site on multiple sites. You may have to link to it.

    Don`t write fake reviews.

    Don`t publish anything controversial.

    Don`t give anyone anything to to criticize.

    The question is about what can be done in the search results. You can`t provide either good or bad customer service in the SERPs. You either live with your SERP reputation or you do something to try and change the search results.

    Of course, any company that doesn`t make a good faith effort to resolve customer complaints risks being trashed on social media, blogs, in the news, and on business review sites. But that isn`t the point of the question.
