Dumb SEO Questions

Somebody has adviced me that inspite of posting many articles on a single topic, just replace the contents and let the url and title remain unchanged. What do you think?

Don`t create competition among your articles on your blog just provide new content by editing or replacing contents

Somebody has adviced me that inspite of posting many articles on a single topic, just replace the contents and let the url and title remain unchanged. According to him, if you create many posts on a similar subject, they all will compete to each other. And it is also a fact that google love new contents. So this strategy to have fresh contents on already ranked page.

I seems me absurd. What you experts suggest +Jim Munro, +Edwin Jonk??

  • Dave Elliott: Depends on how specific the topic is but I don't entirely disagree. Its like educational books, if it is by the same author/ publisher you tend to get a new edition rather than a new title. If you are talking about precisely the same topic using the same phrases etc. I see no real reason to not apply this mentality to your blog. Especially if you already have links going to it and an awesome title etc. Really depends on how similar the new and old article are though.

The cuetimes listed on this page are functional while the live broadcast continues and also once Youtube has finished processing the public broadcast. Processing time varies between 6-24 hours. During this period the clip is viewable in full but the cuetimes cannot be relied on.
