Should i post a local land line number onto my website?

  My website currently only shows a mobile number.
  I am getting conflicting information. Should i post a local land line number onto my website.
  Some people are saying it helps a great deal, showing that you are local , others views are that is doesn't matter.
  Any one care to cast their view on this please I am based in the uk.

I work with a lot of local tradesmen and I find that the mobile works great to. The client usually finds the person he is looking for, rather than being passed around from pillar to post. Keep everybody happy and use both if not in the header at least on the contact page!
