Should I be using rel author on my entire website?

Hi,
I have just read a post by +Mark Traphagen regarding the release of Google`s new FAQ for authorship. The main point that I am concerned about is that Goggle seem to be saying you should only use the authorship markup on unique content pages, not all website pages.
The quote from Google is "Authorship annotation is useful to searchers because it signals that a page conveys a real person’s perspective or analysis on a topic. Since property listings and product pages are less perspective/analysis oriented, we discourage using authorship in these cases. However, an article about products that provides helpful commentary, such as, “Camera X vs. Camera Y: Faceoff in the Arizona Desert” could have authorship."
As a small service industry business I use authorship on all of my webpages as I have actually authored all of the pages and the content is all unique.  I do not have "product pages" But should I only be using authorship on my blogs and articles and not my entire website?

  • Sarvesh Bagla: I never gave this any thought...turns out I'm in the same situation. Come to think of it I don't think it'll hurt to have it on all pages in your situation. Though you won't benefit from having it on your Contact page and other such pages either.

It'll be interesting to see what others think.
