  • Jim Munro: Hi Sandeep, thank you for your participation here.

I think the only way around this is to renew the certificate that expired yesterday and then canonicalise all of the pages back to the http version. It will take a while for googlebot to recrawl the pages and discover where they should be.

  • Sandeep Sehrawat: Thanks +Jim Munro ;It means google will re-index my site again to move on without https.
  • Jim Munro: It won't happen instantly. I did this before I removed the certificate from dumbseoquestions(dot)com a little while ago.

I did not pay attention to how long it took but maybe it was 3-4 weeks. Googlebot will replace the https pages in the index with their http equivalent.

Sad thing is that you have to fork out for another year on the certificate in the meantime. It's like a tax you will have to pay because I'm fairly sure that if you do not do it, the https pages will be deindexed and the http version will be like starting over from day one if you don't take the canonicalisation route.

Thanks +Jim Munro ;for your valuable support.
  • Redactrice Miora: It's very simple, before lunching your browser, set the date and time on your computer! That's all
