Tim Capper: So I was calling it an authority filter, quite a while before this rolled out. In a nut shell this filters out similar businesses in an area, street or building. So where before you had 3 lawyers in a building, it now shows 1.
You have to zoom in on the map for the rest to be displayed.
There are a couple of things i would look at. Lets assume this is 1 location business. Make sure location details are in footer site wide and have structured data to match sitewide. A lot of people forget to add the G+ icon linking to the business page, so dbl check that.
Then dbl check if you have missed out on any hyper local citation sources.
Essentially you need more hyper local signals then the other guy.

so the possum update filtered out one of our clients websites from the map. Any suggestions?
