Ed Sumner: Different searches. For example - no idea what you do - but maybe you`re typing something like "plumber New York" and your clients are typing "help my tap is leaking".
David Gizzarelli: Ed Sumner why aren’t people typing plumber new york? Alexa?
Victoria Gitelshtein: Depends on which key word or phrase you see your site on first page. You actually supposed to make some keywords/phrases/longtail phrases research, check relevancy to you, and check which KW have high search results, and can bring you real traffic. And then you supposed to match your website to them. Because if you type David Gizarelli in search, for example, its ok that you are on first page, but if nobody knows your name and who you are, and you are not branded enough, nobody else will see you there.
David Gizzarelli: I may have a bad connection, but my whole other conversation just disappeared 👻
Neil Cheesman: Go to Google Search Console and you should see which keywords are ranking - check desktop and mobile...
David Gizzarelli: Neil Cheesman thanks. So if the position says 1, I should work with those keywords?
Neil Cheesman: If the position displays as 1 then I would suggest that you don`t do anything with that word... as it is already ranking...look for low page 1 or those that are on page 2 that perhaps with some tweaking might get onto P1 - also look for pages that are ranking (and getting impressions) for words that you might not intentionally be targeting. Is what I would suggest.
Neil Cheesman: check GSC to see which keywords and related ones are getting clicks... also cross check with Google Analytics.
