Dumb SEO Questions

Is there a way to create specific geo-tag locations for different pages on a website?

Sorry guys just a quick one, I think the answer is no. However I thought it best to ask the audience!

Is there a way to create specific geo-tag locations for different pages on a website. I.e lets say the website has 7 offices all with their own webpage. Would I be able to create a unique meta tag for each office.

Reasoning behind this question is I am hoping to push the local listings a little through the localisation of the geo tag.

Thank you fellow keyboard warriors. ?

  • Jeremy Estes: yes, you can do that. In fact, that's the best way to do it vs. trying to manage a bunch of different sites for each location.
  • Harry Dance: Thank you ;+Jeremy Estes ;, I will get looking into the coding, much appreciated!
  • Simon Bonello: I always use micro data/schema too and markup the html ; (see http://schema.org/LocalBusiness) - I have seen good ; results doing this.
  • Pe lagic: Hi Harry, just a quick note; Google doesn't use them ;)
  • Devin Peterson: +Pe lagic ;I don't think he's referring to the keywords tag specifically if that's what you mean. They do use other meta tags.
  • Pe lagic: As per the question, I was referring to geo location tags +Devin Peterson ;
  • Solwin Infotech: No +Harry Dance, that's not possible to set geo-tag locations for individual pages
  • Devin Peterson: +Pe lagic ;Ah got ya, now makes sense.
  • bharat thakare: Agree with +Simon Bonello ;. You should also create Local listings on Google Plus and link those from your website.
  • Harry Dance: thanks +bharat thakare, yeah I have done most essentials to create a local optimization. I just wanted to flirt with a few other ideas such as meta tags. Regarding the Schemes I was hoping my webmaster tools mark up would be appropriate ;
