  • Dana Gessert: Yes especially if you are paying for it. The links on those sites get devalued quicker than any other sites.

  • Sadat Rayid Odowa: Dana Gessert I love the phrase "devalued". Do you also believe that there is no good algorithm penalty for bad links but rather google just devalues the links?

  • Buth Main: No one knows how risky it is. For example, it can be an interesting blog about casinos, games, etc. In this case, these links will generate valuable traffic and pass a value to your site. But Google also can ignore these links.

  • Abhijith VM: Buth Main I am referring to tech blogs that have a category called `gaming` to link to casino sites, most probably paid link placement.

  • Buth Main: If you didn`t pay for links, there is no problem. Many SEOs don`t recommend using blogspot.com because "spammers use that". It is a myth.

  • Jim Munro: If you mean risky as in crickets-chirping suddent death overnight at light speed, then yes, gambling is risky, both for linking either in or out. Same for pills, porn plus btc or anything YMYL too.

  • Sheikh Shadi Shuvo: ofcourse no, If you check world best newspaper, magazine promoted gambling and you have no problem with that but you have problem with new or mid level sites?

    22h
  • Zachary Toto: If you have to ask, it probably is, but more importantly is how valuable that casino link would be to your users.

    18h
  • Tricia Barnes: It depends on the site. If the links on the site are predominately spammy, but you didn`t seek out the link, then it won`t do you any good but it won`t do any harm either. If you paid for the link or wrote a guest post purely for a link, then there`s a possible risk that Google will flag you as participating in link schemes. On the other hand, if it`s a legitimate gambling site, with quality content and the link to your site is valuable to their readers, then there`s no problem.
