Is it best to leave them as is or hide them?

If a site has lots of posts that are already indexed but protected by membership, is it best to leave them as is or hide them? TIA

  • Andras Radics: Richard Hearne Hi Richard, They are presented with a page simple page asked them to log in or purchase a membership.

  • Richard Hearne: I think over time you`ll see these pages fall out of Google`s index, or at least not rank. I don`t think you need to do anything here, but you may want to re-appraise your gating strategy - could you provide some content that might deliver traffic/conversions on these pages? A simple login/register page may not be best for business.

    The other question - if I come from a search result do you present the login on the same URL, or redirect me somehow?
