I don`t know why but the articles without authorship show the profile links of other authors in google #SERP who have added whole blog in their contributor to sections.?

  • Neeraj Kumar: In case of managing #Multi-author blog, do the authors need to put the blog url in #contributor-to or the links of only their articles?
I don't know why but the articles without authorship show the profile links of other authors in google #SERP who have added whole blog in their contributor to sections.
  • Evgenii Neumerzhitckii: I belive putting just the blog URL is enough. If avatars are showing on wrong pages I would check them with structured data testing tool. It will show all special markup on the page.
  • Neeraj Kumar: +Evgenii Neumerzhitckii I have checked the posts without author Google+ links in #webmaster, there is no #author data but in #SERPs, wrong author G+ link and profile image is showing.
  • Evgenii Neumerzhitckii: Hmm, is it a bug? Can you provide an URL to such page?
  • Joshua Boles: +Alex Hoskins +David Finberg
  • Tim Capper: Hi +Neeraj Kumar ;Google will attribute authorship based on the first link they find.

They are most likely attributing authorship to articles that are not from that author from the landing page, where the snippets of the articles are.

    Landing page:

    bla bla bla -read more

bla bla bla - read more

bla bla bla - read more  ;(contains author a )

bla bla bla - read more (contains author b)

Author a will now be attributed to all.

I have also seen cases, where the authors attribute is at the bottom of page. In this instance the comments where above this after the article - someone added rel=author link to their name, and google attributed them as the author.

The best way to handle multi author:

The author has their own Authors page. Thsi is where they have a bio and introduction, they also have their articles listed that they have published.

This is where you attach authorship and this is the link they add to : contributor too.
