I`m having a travel agency website but it`s not doing well. Can anybody please help me out?

  Athyab Muhith: Hi everybody!!! I would really appreciate some sage advice from anyone here. I'm having a travel agency website and unfortunately am not getting the page ranking I was hoping to get. I try my best to follow all the relevant tips I can find. I made about 6 satellite "keyword rich" websites that link to my main website to no avail.
  
  Can anybody please help me out...

  Patrick Coombe: Hi +Athyab Muhith would really need a lot more information. It is your prerogative if you share your URL or not.
  
  Otherwise information we need:
  -what framework you are using
  -site performance / age / DA
  -on-page optimization
  
  Off hand I wouldn't go creating any more satellite sites. This teeters on a black hat tactic and Google can spot this in a minute. If you are in this for the long haul, you want to stay in the game and the best way to do that is follow the rules of Google.

  I created it using Wordpress, Genesis framework. It's about 6 months old. Haven't had many visitors though.
  
  I'm really sorry I'm not too sure about what you mean by "DA" or on-page optimsation.
  
  Ooops... I wasn't aware that satellite creation was a black hat trick, would refrain from it.
  You can see the list of satellites on the footer of my main site though...

  Tim Capper: Firstly Travel is a very competitive market and 6 months is a drop in time when it comes to building up a sites authority.
  
  Secondly you have created 6 satellite sites.
  
  1) why waste time creating -6- 7 pieces of content every week, when it could all be going onto the main site, making it totally awesome.
  
  2) you are leaking what little authority you have to these 6 sites
  
  3) google does not like, sites created specifically for this - all the urls are EMD's, they are thin in content
  
  Thirdly you have no natural links - your sites link profile is so unnatural, i will not be surprised that penguin does not penalise you.

  Wow, I have SO much to learn, so the best course of action is to remove the satellites and use the domains as 301 redirects to my main site, yeah?
  and focus on the one site as a whole...
  
  Any good tips on how I could promote my site (other than the use of facebook and other social media)?

  I had no idea of the gravity of my mistakes. I will definitely do the needful.
  Regarding my satellite domains, is the best course of action to do a 301 redirect to my main site?
  Will it have any positive effect on my main site?

  Tim Capper: Just check in wmt that there has been no manual penalty applied to satellite sites, then you can 301 to main domain.
  
  This wont have a positive affect - as they dont have any authority, but it is better then having all of these in a massive link wheel
