I`m dealing with a headless WordPress CMS

Hi guys! I`m dealing with a headless WordPress CMS website right now - the front-end is one domain, the back-end/CMS is another domain. Is having two hosts (front-end, CMS) okay? How is Google going to treat this?I`m attaching a screenshot from a URL checking tool to make sure it`s clear. How should it ideally look like, SEO-wise, in case of a headless CMS?

  • Michael Martinez: Google should never see the back end.

  • Buth Main: Google "see" things that are available to the website visitor. In other words, Google "see" front-end. But it can be a problem in cases when a website owner use dynamic content that is created by backend.

  • Todd Weise: Don’t know implications of the headless. But your key will be to make sure URLS generated and sent to the browser only have the front end based URL (images, scripts, css, fonts). Be sure you do both ‘view source’ which will give you initial document load to the browser pre JS firing. And then also use inspector because JS might dynamically call in other assets that use the “back end” url.
