If I create a subdomain of my website do hits to that subdomain help with the alexa rank of my home page?

for example my home page is http://www.domain.com if I make http://www.yoursite.doamin.com and a lot of people visit http://www.yoursite.domain.com does it help http://www.domain.com`s alexa rank??

Edwin Jonk: First I don't care about Alexa rank unless you are in the top. The reason why is because the Alexa rank is mainly based on the Alexa bar and not that many use this bar and it is likely skewed.

Are you serving the same site through multiple sub-domains? That is not best practise, it is better to serve a web page on one URL. This is called canonicalization [1].

Adam Heaton: Don't focus on Alexa rank, it's a useless metric with no meaning behind it. Worry about your traffic, not random metrics that some website has put together.
