I was wondering if someone who is versed in Google Rich Snippets could lend me a hand

Hello, I was wondering if someone who is versed in Google Rich Snippets could lend me a hand.

UPDATE: Some posts are showing no errors at all while other are giving multiple errors. There is nothing different between these articles besides the tags and post content. Same author, same site, same coding, same everything else. Here`s an example of one of my posts without errors: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fappducate.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fhow-to-show-hidden-files-folders-on-your-mac%2F

I`ve just updated my website template ( http://appducate.com ) with rich snippets. And it did work, while running the Google Structured Data Testing Tool ( http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?user_profile=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F%2BDamienZander & url=http%3A%2F%2Fappducate.com%2F2014%2F01%2Fnew-mac-find-best-windows-alternative-software%2F ) I am seeing that it is picking up the proper information:

hatom-feed
hatom-entry:
entry-title: New to Mac? How to Find the Best Windows Alternative Software
updated: January 6, 2014
author:
fn: Damien Zander
person-name:
family-name: Zander
given-name: Damien

I am still however getting these errors listed below that:

Error: At least one field must be set for HatomEntry.
Error: Missing required field "entry-title".
Error: Missing required field "updated".
Error: Missing required hCard "author".

I can`t seem to figure out why. If any of you have some experience or knowledge of why this is still happening please let me know. Thank you for your time.?

  • Jay Dutton: You don't have  ;Authorship set up ..  ;I've used this plugin for a quick way to add it- http://www.authorsure.com/

    Is that what you are wanting to do? ;
  • Damien Zander: Thank you for your comment +Jay Dutton ;. I have publisher markup for the homepage, every post that's written by me has rel="author" successfully implemented.

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fappducate.com%2F shows my publisher markup.

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=http%3A%2F%2Fappducate.com%2F2014%2F01%2Fnew-mac-find-best-windows-alternative-software%2F shows my author markup.

    Yet still there are errors showing.
  • Jay Dutton: That's really strange.  ;Check these articles out, they may offer a solution. ;

  • Damien Zander: Thanks +Jay Dutton ;I have previously read those articles, however while informative they were mainly things I had already implemented from similar articles. One interesting piece of information is I just noticed that on some of my posts it is working without error however on other articles it is still producing the same errors. I've updated this G+ post showing an example of a post that is working properly.

    So I think it has to be something else, not the code that I've recently implemented into the html.
  • Mark Traphagen: I'm not sure why you are worried about those errors. They apply to types of markup that have nothing to do with Authorship. If your authorship is verified and working then ignore them (if Authorship is your concern)
  • Damien Zander: Thank you for the input +Mark Traphagen ;, Authorship is a concern of mine. However in this case my concern if more towards why I'm getting rich snippet errors on some posts and not others. There is nothing different between these posts from what I can gather, yet the ;Structured Data Testing Tool is showing errors for one post and not for another. ;

    If you believe these errors aren't in any way negatively affecting my site/ranking/seo then I'll leave it be. ;
