I want to make my website responsive and will no longer use mobile website.

Hello all,

I want to make my website responsive and will no longer use mobile website. I have 2 questions 

1. Do I need to take any particular action or inform to Google?

2. Things to do before launching "responsive" site??

  • Ehtesham Shaikh: 1) No.
    2) Functionality check.
  • Patrick Rabanser: Check especially old browsers and IE, those can have some issues with responsive designs!
  • John Pitcher: 1 If you had a separate mobile site - and if those mobile pages had links to them - should you redirect them to the new pages? Obviously, change the site map.

    2 Check browsers (opera, safari, chrome, firefox and ie8 onwards) and check on a tablet and mobile. http://mobitest.akamai.com/m/index.cgi ;gives some idea as to how your site looks on different devices.
