Alistair Lockhart: If youâ€™re (a) in a niche of some kind and (b) create longtail content (with little to no competition) then you can rank in a matter of weeks.
Daniel Msanii: I`ve ranked with some keyword at position 12 with a site I launched in Feb. Most articles picking their keywords at top 50. But it`s in a narrow niche.

Ammon Johns: How long is a piece of string? It varies. Apple can release a new product and rank for it`s product name in under an hour. News stories can rank in minutes. But some low value site with low reputation, competing for a keyword that Google already has thousands of satisfactory answers to is going to take years.
