How do you refine GA customer location traffic depending on server location and IP adress?

Hi guys, how do you refine GA customer location traffic depending on server location and IP adress? I mean, IP can be completely misleading for determening where does your traffic come from. Having host servers in one country and phisical location in another one.... Thanks

  • Alan Bleiweiss: In reports that allow a second dimension to be set, you can choose "users" then city.
  • Katarina Lujak: thank you alan for asnwering my question. can you please elaborate a bit more on that logic of getting cleaner results?
  • Alan Bleiweiss: Katarina, when you go into GA, and choose a standard report, there is a "secondary dimension" option available for some reports.
  • Alan Bleiweiss: If you click that dropdown button, you get options to choose.
  • Alan Bleiweiss: If you choose "Users" from that dropdown, that gives you more options, one of which is "City"
  • Alan Bleiweiss: If you choose "city", it will refresh the screen, where it breaks down the data by city.
  • Alan Bleiweiss: This "second dimension" function works for many report types. Here`s one for the top most visited pages.
