How do I find out how far back they are in comparison to the UK`s algorithm?

Hey SEO+ Community! Quick question about Google`s algorithm in Spain... How do I find out how far back they are in comparison to the UK`s algorithm? They certainly have not rolled out any Panda, Penguin or Hummingbird updates that I know of.... Am trying to rank for a few terms in Spanish for an electrician friend of mine but all the sites that rank are comparison sites or directories rather then professional companies... seems quite backward!... any insights would be appreciated... Thanks everyone?
