how do Google interpret trademark symbols on the end of keywords?

Hi, I`m new to SEO and hoping someone can help. When Google`s spider crawls through a web page, how does it interpret trademark symbols on the end of keywords? Does it view these symbols as part of the keyword, as a separate entity or as something that can`t be interpreted?
