  • EJ Skoldberg: Does Google use its Page-speed tool to measure page speed for the purposes of search ranking?
  • Monitor Backlinks: Website loading speed is one of the important factors. Check this video from Matt Cutts: ;Is page speed a more important factor for mobile sites?
  • Jim Munro: I am not an expert, +EJ Skoldberg ;but to me it would not make sense for Google to use data from anywhere else since they already have the data collected directly by Googlebot. I'm not even sure that they would bother to calculate or utilise pagespeed by itself since they already record extensive user experience metrics and pagespeed would affect these.
  • Pedro Menezes Pereira: I will not say important, I will say that is one of google ranking factores along with many others...
  • EJ Skoldberg: This is an understandably confusing question for many people, because Page-Speed is the name of the Google tool used to look at a page’s performance. Thank You guys.
