Datapoints in Google Charts

You`d think datapoints in Google Charts would be somehow accessible to search engines. Are they?

  • David Kutcher: Do you mean you`re using tabular/JSON data to display a Google Chart via their API? If so, then yes, I`d assume it was.
  • Patty Mantaloons: Charts are exposed as JavaScript classes and rendered with HTML5/SVG
  • Dixon Jones: Crazy assumption. They have this Chinese wall... (joking aside, no real idea... I don’t give Google my data if I can help it, just in case that Chines Wall is a bit like a private Tweet...)
  • Yuliana Kronrod: But can google make meaningful assumptions based on the data points in, say, a pie chart with a legend - e.g. “this percentage of those surveyed preferred this”? I assume you’d still want to provide the explanation in a paragraph. Also, Google charts don’t show in image search nor can be used in social (open graph or twitter cards) image tags , an added benefit of image files.
