  • Pablo Caño: Hi everyone!

    Question for you all:
    We are creating a webpage about trading and investing and do not know if we should switching to HTTPS
    What would you do?

    Curious to hear your thoughts! ;)
  • Dave Elliott: Unless you are asking your users to login i would say no. Or its e-commerce.
  • Pablo Caño: +Dave Elliott Thank you. It is a website that talks about trading and we'll recommend some websites for the investments. We're not sure whether to ask for a login
  • Natasha Aidinyantz: Switch to HTTPS. Google likes it better and you would be getting ahead of the curve as everyone will be moving in this direction sooner or later. ;
  • Jon Tromans: I'm hanging on to see exactly what happens with this. Still can't see a reason for brochure/information sites to need https.

    If its a new site make it https but I'm not changing existing sites yet and waiting to see what happens.

    I wouldn't be surprised if Google starts selling SSL certs dirt cheap with a yearly renewal fee... clever way to increase revenues.

    Or am I just a cynic :)
