Sanyam Khurana: I want to know about the tags used in articles.
PS: I'm working on WP site, and want to know more about the tags used.
Are they really helpful in SEO?
Chomp Digital: I think their helpful for filtering content on the user end and normally our team adds 3-5 max per post. Also we remove tags from being indexed via sitemap.xml to avoid duplicate content etc.
Tim Capper: Tags are good for users and internal search but always mark them as noindex.
A personal bugbear of mine is how people randomly tag articles. Tag by all means but make sure they are relevant to the article

Tim Capper: If on wp and using yoast set in admin for tags. If standard you will need to set individual ly or other plugin you may be using. On other site there may be cms settings or you can specify in robot.txt files
