  • Sajid Ali: Site redesign effect on SEO..?
  • Andy Wigglesworth: Hi +Sajid Ali ;thats a bit of a broad question... might be easier to narrow it down to something?...

Whatever you do to a page will have 'x' affect to 'y'...
  • Sajid Ali: +Andy Wigglesworth I am considering a redesign that will redirect users from my homepage to the content section of my site essentially making my homepage redundant.
  • Justin Y: +Sajid Ali In this case, I would do split testing to see which is better. Serve up both versions and then go from there. That's what I would do in this situation.
  • Saurabh Gupta: It requires deep analysis of your website. If you are appearing on top of some keyword pages. I suggest that you keep the content same for these pages. Also site redesign has usually a positive effect on your website provided that there is a change in design and not too much on content part.

If you want to modify content too then you should avoid over stuffing or modifying a post just for rankings.
