Twelve H1 tags on one page

Hi,
So glad I found this group, as I have some dumb SEO questions! First one--SEMRush site audit says nearly all my articles have multiple H1 tags. It even says some have 12 H1 tags. I did not add any H1 tags to posts. Wordpress uses the title as H1, so I just use H2. SEMRush showed me the source code for one of my posts that it says has two H1s, where Wordpress is making a class out of the title and thus making another H1. This is over my head. Don`t know why a post I just wrote has "twelve" H1s. How can I fix this issue, or is it even worth fixing? Thanks!
