Problem with duplicate content.

Hi everyone

I am facing a major problem with duplicate content.  My site is an e-commerce, bilingual with many products. Have attached 2 snapshots from GWT

1) Snapshot #1. I am thinking of implementing the rel next / prev tag.
2) Snapshot #2. Thinking  of implementing the rel canonical tag.

Is my strategy correct.? Any help is more than appreciated.

Thank you all?

  • Collin Davis: You are the right track +Athanasios Giannias This looks good to go..
  • Athanasios Giannias: thank you +Collin Davis ;. I am using prestashop for my website. Why do these mmultiple links show up for the same page?
  • Tony McCreath: Are you looking at duplicate page titles?

    For the first it would be good to do rel next/prev but it will not stop the duplicate title report. But don't worry as a duplicate title error is more of a warning that you may have duplicate problems. In this case it is not a problem.

    For the second one it does look like the CMS does provide the same content over multiple URLs so the canonical tag would help. Or you could make the CMS 301 redirect to the canonical URL. At a guess I would suspect the products URL has been changed over time but all the old ones still work and therefore stay indexed. 301 redirects would clear that up.
  • Athanasios Giannias: Thank you +Tony McCreath ;Its a screenshot from the duplicate meta descriptions page.

    Yes many URL has been changed over time. ;Even new products seem to have duplicate ; ;meta descriptions page, where the URL has not changed.  ;When the same product is inserted within 2 categories, a 2nd URL is made up. Keep in mind its an ecommerce site.  ;
  • Julio Marquez: I have the same problem , Thank you for support
