Here is an answer box screenshot where I asked what is facebook marketplace and look to the answer.
Is it so because there is no answer on World Wide Web for this question or Google could not understand the question and picked up wrong paragraph?
Should I or we should give regular feedback to Google from the below of Answer Box?

  • Rotimi Orimoloye (Orims): It returned this answer because it was in fact the correct answer.
    At least the closest thing to a correct & recent answer!

    The Facebook Marketplace is currently owned by Oodle, so it makes perfect sense to show the answer from the horse's mouth. And not only that, but also from the horse's very own stable. ;)

    I hope you understand my analogy there? :)

    Anyway, Don't forget, Facebook may have some firewall blocking off Google from actually showing the content within the document posted on facebook itself. So this is probably the best Google can do. And it is relevant enough.
  • Edwin Jonk: Personally I don't think it is the right answer. The URL is great, but snippet from the resource isn't the best. For me, this snippet is better:
    Facebook first introduced the Marketplace application on Facebook Platform in May 2007 as a way for people to post classified listings on the site. Marketplace helps people buy and sell furniture and household items in a trusted environment
  • Rotimi Orimoloye (Orims): +Edwin Jonk
    was that from a page on the Facebook domain? ;
  • Edwin Jonk: Yes. ;

    lol

    Oh! Now I understand what you meant. :)
    Yep, I agree they should have scraped a more relevant portion of the text. ;
  • Edwin Jonk: To be fair, there is no markup. I am not sure, but they could use "description" in OG or schema.org/article.

     ;+Masatake Wasa ;do you know if these answers can be suggested by the webmaster by using "description" in OG or schema.org?
  • Masatake Wasa (wasaweb): I have no idea to be honest. If I were to speculate (it's only that and it's likely that I'm going to be wrong), OG / schema.org might help in that Google can understand the content better, so when Google would have shown the answer box, the webmaster has better control of what's shown, but I'd doubt it would trigger the answer box on its own.
