Changing URL

Thanks in advance. Please help me with this question, I will be highly obliged -

We have a huge website containing millions of pages and its a products and deals based site now we want to move the site to subdomains. below is the query, i hope if you can help -

1. Case 1 – Domain is moved to subdomain (www.domain.com moved to products.domain.com / deals.domain.com) and we do not want to use 301 redirection from old domain to subdomain because more than 40% traffic is still coming on old domain and old pages are also ranking good in SERPs as well, we do not want to lose pages and their ranks in SERP plus visits.

2. Case 2 – Old "deals" pages are ranking well in SERP with "expired deals" status and domain is moved to subdomain (products.domain.com, deals.domain.com). We do not want to remove old deal pages because of their ranking and traffic.

In order to maintain the traffic and SERP rank what could be the best way to deal with this situation.

Thanks Again
