Dumb SEO Questions

Anchor Text Links.

I have a question, the scenario is as follows, you have a site with a few links placed over the past year for a site. The sites are not bad where the links are coming from but you know the way the person has placed the links has triggered spam filters as the anchor text is way too specific and there are no noise links around it.

Also the terms used in the anchor text are having a negative effect on the search term used (not the site , just the term)

You have removed the links and anchor text from the linking sites but you do not have WM control over these sites. My question is what is the best way to get google to re look / re-evaluate the linking sites to see the links have been removed and return the main site being SEO`d back to a good state. From what I have read it could take a long time and the rest of the site is doing very well just a handful of terms are being affected so this just needs ironing out.?

  • Tim Capper: Ok, so you have removed a link on a site and you want google to find that page and index it without the link.

Submit the url to Google: ;https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url?hl=en_uk

You could post that url in google+

If it has images, pin the images to pinterest.

Hell if you want it don now, you could even jrun a 10 bucks adwords campaign on it :)
